Woodworking has been my thing since I was a kid. My dad was a hands-on guy who always had a project going in the workshop, so naturally, I ended up right there with him. I learned the basics from him—building furniture, fixing things around the house, the whole deal. 

I’ve got a soft spot for woodworking, but I’m into all kinds of DIY projects. There’s something satisfying about making and fixing things with your own hands.

I started AbesDIY.com to pass on what I’ve picked up over the years. I get a kick out of helping others tackle their own projects, whether you’re just getting into it or looking to pick up a few new tricks.
